Wellness Tip : Champion Of Breakfast

Eat the egg to drop the calories.


Yolking your diet may rein in your appetite. Saint Louis University scientists found that people who eat eggs for breakfast consume fewer calories the rest of the day than those who skip the eggs.

In the study, people were given one of two breakfasts:

1) two eggs, two slices of toast, and a tablespoon of reduced-calorie fruit spread; or

2) a bagel, two tablespoons of cream cheese, and 80gm of nonfat yogurt,

Egg eaters had 264 fewer calories by night, even though the breakfasts were equal in calories.
