Do you want to give your brain a little workout?

Here are a few mind benders and puzzles that promise to stretch your brain.

1. Put three letters in front of the letters ERGRO, and the same three letters behind it, to form a common English word.

2. What is unique about the number 8,549,176,320?

3. A man died, leaving Rs 1,00,00,000 for his widow, 5 sons and 4 daughters. Each daughter received an equal amount, each son received twice as much as a daughter, and the widow received three times as much as a son. How much did the widow receive?

4. An old woman has ten children, and the only food she had for them was six potatoes. How did she make sure that each child got an equal share?

5. A number has two digits. The number is equal to five times the sum of its digits. If you add 9 to the number, the order of its digits is reversed. What is the number?

6. If you had a 5-litre jar and a 3-litre jar, and an unlimited access to water, how would you measure exactly four litres?

6.First, fill the 5-litre jar and overspill water to the 3-litre jar, which you empty afterwards.

Then pour the remaining two litres from the 5-litre jar into the 3-litre jar. Refill the 5-litre jar and fill in the 3-litre jar (with one litre). The required four litres now remains in the 5-litre jar.
